About Me

Hello, my name is Lindsay and I am a 20-something-year old living in Chicago. I have a Masters of Public Health in Epidemiology and Biostatistics and currently work in health research. My journey towards healthy living began my senior year in high school when I realized that despite being athletic and very active, my unhealthy eating habits were not only adding to my waistline but also making me feel pretty gross. With the support of my family, I cleaned up my diet and started looking for types of exercise that I could continue post-graduation.

My passion for running began shortly thereafter. I started out running just two miles a couple of times a week. However, my love of running just kept growing so that two, three, and four miles was no longer enough. I run anything from 5k’s to marathons and also enjoy participating in triathlons.

FYI- While traveling to Nepal a few years ago, I became very ill and started to suffer from severe stomachaches. A couple years later, I went to see a doctor and found out that whatever I caught in Nepal had caused quite a few food allergies and intolerances. I’m most comfortable not eating eggs, dairy, or coconut (allergies) and avoiding gluten and soy (intolerances). I don’t regularly post pictures of food on my blog but if I do they will probably not contain any of the aforementioned foods.

I started this blog to connect with fellow runners, athletes, and bloggers and to be part of a wonderful and supportive community. That being said, I understand that not everyone who reads my posts will agree with what I say. Even though I would never intentionally offend anyone, I encourage anyone who is upset to either send me an e-mail or leave a thoughtful comment so we solve the issue ASAP.

I love hearing from you so feel free to check out my contact info page and send me a message!
