Disney Marathon

I finished the Goofy Challenge!!

Sorry to fall off the face of the blogging world but post-marathon I relaxed, ate, slept, and then headed out to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure yesterday for a very full day of Harry Potter World and roller coasters. Obviously, we had to soak up one last day of that Florida sun :) .

I finished the marathon a lot slower than I thought that I would (I think the first words out of my mouth after I finished were “well that was hard”) but I felt pretty strong and had a huge smile on my face for most of the race. As difficult as it was, I had a blast and enjoyed the course, the characters, and pretty much everything about the race. In case you’re curious, my marathon time was 3:51:42 which is a personal worst by over 10 minutes but given the circumstances, I was pretty thrilled.

Now that I’m back in Chicago, I pinky promise that both the half marathon and full marathon recaps will be up this week. See ya tomorrow!

    • Thanks Sarah! It was a really intense experience! I’m glad I did it but it was incredibly hard– much harder than I thought it would be! At least it was through Disney though, lots to keep me entertained!

  1. Hey, if you crossed the finish line of the marathon segment of the Goofy, good for you! And there are many of us who would kill for your 3:51. ;) Congrags on a job well done and enjoy that post-race rest period!
