Hey guys- happy Tuesday! I had big plans for a post today but I woke up feeling kind of queasy this morning and I don’t want to spend too much time on my laptop.
What I do want to do is share a promo code for Chicago’s Pretty Muddy Women’s Mud Run on September 7th.
A few quick details- the race is a 5k women’s only race (walk or run) with mud, architectural obstacles (i.e. not hay bales and plywood), and an awesome finish line party. It’s sure to be a great time! In addition, you can register as a team with your girlfriends and make it a fun girl date.
To receive $20 off the $59.50 entry fee all you have to do is enter GIRLTIME on the registration page. The promo code is valid until the end of the month so be sure to register soon!
I promise to be back tomorrow with a post about my goals for the Goofy Challenge but until then…
Have you ever done a mud race?

Shoot! I wanted to o this race but I’ll be in Europe!

Oh no! Europe isn’t a bad alternative though
I have never done a mud a race before but I am considering doing the warrior dash.

I’ve heard that’s fun!
I would like to do a mud race someday.
IF you do it with me of course.
I can’t do anything by myself.
Or without you.

Well I’m going to be doing Pretty Muddy so you should do it too… obvi!
Nooo! Be gone, queasy stomach! No fun at all
I’ve never done a mud race, and I’m not really sold on the idea that I want to do a mud race, either. I’m not really huge on the trendy, gimmicky run thing, and though I’m sure mud races are a little more serious than some trendy races…they’re still trendy. I’m FAR too serious of a runner for that kind of nonsense (sarcasm voice firmly in place. But yeah. Still not convinced that I want to do a mud run).

ALSO! Totally meant to mention this but forgot until right now: I tried Head and Shoulders last night and it was a miracle worker. My hair is clean and I’m SO excited about it! You are THE BEST. Seriously, thank you soooooooooooooooooo much for the recommendation!

I’m soo glad it worked for you! It’s so random but it definitely does the job. Last month I thought I could switch back to normal shampoo and bought some and the gunk came back . Head and Shoulders is the best!
I hear you! There are lots of gimicky races out there! I figure it’ll be a fun time with some other Chicago bloggers, nothing wrong with that!
I did! Just back in May (there are a couple of pics on my blog if you’d like to see any) I did the Dirty Girl Mud Run. Holy cow–it was hilarious . . . . and gross! What a good time doing something totally out of the ordinary (for me).

I can’t wait (and it’s months away), I’m sure it’ll be so much fun!
I hope you feel better soon!
Are you an ambassador for this race? Are you doing it? The only mud I have run in has been on trial runs

Thanks! I think I had some weirdo food poisoning, my stomach is much better now.
I am an ambassador and I plan on doing it- it’ll be my first mud run and I’m hoping it’ll be hilarious!
That is awesome and feel better friend!

Thanks, Hollie!
I hope that you feel better soon!!
I have never done a mud race. I don’t really think that I would like getting all muddy. If I did one, it would just be for fun.
I wonder just how muddy it is… and yeah, I could never see myself doing one for time!
I have never done a mud race before but this looks like so much fun. Too bad I’m not going to Chicago anytime soon :,(
