The last week of taper (well, the last week before race week) had me totaling 41 miles. My legs felt loose, my body felt light, and I started to miss long mid-week runs. All good signs that taper is working.
Next week my goal is to keep my runs easy, get lots of sleep, and eat good carbs and protein. Oh- and not to walk too much once I get to Orlando!
I can’t believe in one week, I’ll have finished the Goofy Challenge!!

AHH!!! I can’t believe it’s almost here!

It’s almost here! Looks like you had another great week of training. I really like that yellow shirt you are wearing.

Thanks, it’s a running jacket from lululemon and its soo warm!
eeeeek I am SO EXCITED FOR YOU!!!

Listen to your brain, not your body during taper…especially if your legs want to bust out a long run.
You’re going to do so well next weekend! enjoy the upcoming restful week!
xoxo!

New blog reader here! I’ve never run a marathon, but I’ve always said if I did I’d want to do it at Disney World. Good luck!
Thanks for stopping by! I’ll be sure to blog about it and let you know what it’s like!
